The Technical and Property Management Department delivers internal services so that our colleagues in other operations can focus on their core activities. We are responsible for the operation and development of public land and issue permits so that the municipal group and businesses can conduct their operations. We also ensure that children, students, and care recipients receive good and nutritious food and that the municipality's premises are well-maintained and suitable for their purpose.

The Technical Operations consist of about 150 dedicated employees distributed across five units: park, street, project, coast & green areas, vehicles & internal services.

We are now looking for an engaged and structured team leader who wants to help drive our smaller construction projects and be responsible for planning and implementing winter road maintenance. The role suits you if you enjoy a varied everyday life with both operational and administrative responsibilities.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about developing people and working methods and who wants to help shape the future of Kalmar. As a team leader within the street unit, you create conditions for your employees to succeed in their assignments and achieve set goals. Your leadership is crucial for developing both individuals and the workgroup.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a team leader, you are an important link between operations, projects, and our contractors. You ensure high quality, good communication, and a safe working environment in all aspects. You lead and distribute the daily work for your own team and subcontractors and ensure that projects are carried out according to schedule, budget, and quality requirements. You also participate in project planning, orders, and resource planning. Your duties also include continuously managing documentation, self-checks, and follow-ups, being the contact person for clients, and maintaining good relationships with contractors.

The position also includes primary responsibility for the municipality's winter road maintenance, meaning planning and organizing staffing and machinery resources. The role includes on-call duty.

We collaborate across boundaries, so other tasks within the organization may also occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with experience in a supervisory role. You have relevant education or experience in the field that the employer deems equivalent. You have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, and are accustomed to using a computer as a work tool.

A valid B driver's license is a requirement.

Previous experience in construction work and smaller contracts, operation and maintenance of roads, and winter road maintenance is an advantage. It is also advantageous if you have a valid certificate for work on roads 1.1-1.3 and training in Bas P/U.
